The Volunteer Center of Lubbock invites the Lubbock community to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service by participating in a service project on Monday, January 21, 2013.
Opportunities include:
• Making Valentine's Day cards for local veterans at the Volunteer Center of Lubbock's conference room, located at 1706 23rd St., from 10 a.m. to noon
• Assisting with Lubbock Impact's clothing closet by sorting and organizing donations at 2707 34th St., from 9 a.m. to noon
